This is our flagship Thunderhorse, featuring our new 12-way pickup selector and McGrath Tilt EQ. Finished in a striking Lavender, this instrument is a refined evolution of our signature P-Style design. The basswood body is uniquely hand-painted by Madelyn McGrath, making this bass a true work of art. The body was then finished in several coats of pearl and a high gloss top coat.

This is the first of our basses to feature a basswood body, this was done to reduce weight, this fully equipped Thunderhorse V only weighs 8.8lbs!

Ships without batteries installed. The active EQ requires customer-supplied batteries, while the bass can be played in passive mode without batteries.

Pickups: Equipped with three EMG 40HZ passive pickups configured in our signature Thunderhorse layout.

12-Way Rotary Selector: Delivers massive tonal versatility across 12 distinct pickup settings:

All 3 Parallel

Bridge Only

Middle Only

Neck Only

Bridge & Middle Parallel

Push-Button Functions:

Save: Long-press to save your current setting.

Recall: Push to jump to your saved favorite; push again to return to your previous setting.

Reset: Triple-tap to return to Position 1.

Failsafe: Defaults to Position 1 (All 3 Parallel) if power is lost.

Now featuring a Wrap or Stop function.

McGrath Tilt EQ: A single-pot active preamp and buffer. Turning the center-detent knob yields glassy highs in one direction and rich, powerful low end in the other. Includes a passive tone control for ultimate versatility.

18V Active System & Passive Bypass: Easily bypass the active preamp using the push-pull Master Volume knob. If battery power drops during a set, pulling the volume knob defaults the circuit to running all three pickups in passive parallel mode.

Control Layout

Master Volume (with Push-Pull Preamp Bypass), 12-Way Pickup Selector, McGrath Tilt EQ, and Passive Tone Control.

A side mount jack makes for a super clean control layout.

The bass shown in these photos is the exact instrument you will receive. Handcrafted by our two-person team in San Diego, California.
