Shipping Policy

Thank you for supporting independent instrument design and craftsmanship. Every bass we build is packed with the utmost care so it arrives safely at your door. Please review our shipping practices below.

Order Processing and Production Times

  • In-stock instruments: Ready-to-ship basses are given a final setup and inspection, then shipped within 2 to 5 business days.
  • Custom instruments: Because custom basses from our Bass Builder are made entirely to order, most ship in about 12 weeks (about 14 weeks with Nordstrand or DiMarzio pickups). Once the build is complete, we perform a thorough final setup and inspection before packing.
  • Merchandise and parts: Smaller non-custom items are processed and shipped within 2 to 5 business days.

Domestic Shipping (United States)

We ship within the United States with UPS. Shipping is free on all US orders over $250. All instrument shipments include tracking and require a signature on delivery.

International Shipping

We ship directly from our workshop in Southern California to 38 countries, including Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Japan and Australia. At checkout you can choose UPS or DHL Express, with live rates calculated for your address.

Duties, Taxes, and Customs Fees

For international orders, import duties and taxes (such as VAT) are calculated and included at checkout. There are no unexpected fees on delivery, so your order clears customs smoothly and arrives at your door.

Shipping Insurance and Delivery Issues

Every instrument we ship is fully insured for its total value during transit.

  • Damaged shipments: In the rare event that your instrument arrives with signs of transit damage, please photograph the exterior packaging and the instrument straight away. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can open an insurance claim with the carrier and resolve the issue quickly.

Track Your Order

Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with your tracking number. Please allow up to 24 hours for the carrier to update the tracking status.
