Thumper - Passive - Black Sands

A beautiful J-Style Thumper in our signature Black Sands finish.

This is a passive short-scale bass featuring two Nordstrand Big Split pickups. Our Thumper configuration places one pickup near the neck for a warm, vintage tone and a middle pickup for punch and growl making it a versatile powerhouse for both stage and studio.

We’ve stripped the electronics down to pure, high-performance functionality with a Volume / Volume / Tone layout using premium CTS components. Volume 1 functions as a dedicated Kill Switch, perfect for quick silencing during live sets. Volume 2 routes both pickups in series through the first volume control, delivering a massive, high-output boost.

We only use the best part.
