McGrath Rebel - 5-String Bass - Pool Blue (Namm 2026)

What a beauty! This Rebel bass is packed with our favorite features and is sure to be a crowd-pleasing winner.

This instrument was featured as a display and demo model at NAMM 2026. Because it was handled by attendees during the show, it may exhibit minor surface imperfections or light play wear. However, the bass has undergone a full professional inspection to ensure it is in perfect working order and plays beautifully. We have adjusted the sale price to reflect its "ex-demo" status, offering a fantastic value on a world-class instrument.

The three pickups are EMG HZ soapbars in custom Ivory. These are passive pickups and sound incredible! Each pickup can be activated by the Switchcraft slider on the control plate. There is a master volume with a push-pull true bypass Active/Passive switch, followed by an EMG BQ30 3-band preamp with 18-volt power for maximum headroom.

The neck is roasted flame maple with an ebony fretboard and stainless steel frets. There are two carbon rods mounted perpendicularly in the neck for ultimate stability. The two-way spoke nut truss rod makes for easy setup changes, while abalone inlays and side dots complement it perfectly. The six-bolt mounting system adds sustain and ensures the neck isn't going anywhere. The nut width is 1.8" and the radius is 12".

The color is one of Madelyn’s signatures, Pool Blue, hand-painted with accents for the pickups. All nickel hardware is included, featuring a Badass V bridge and Badass tuners. It also features a side-mount jack and Dunlop Straplok Dual Design strap buttons.
