McGrath Thunderhorse IV –  Celestial Blue 

This Thunderhorse IV is finished in Celestial Blue, a rare finish we’ve only produced once before. To improve playability for slap style, we’ve updated the neck pickup position, moving it back 3/8 inch to provide extra clearance.

The body and headstock are hand-painted by Madelyn McGrath, making this instrument a unique, one-of-a-kind work of art.

Key Components

Pickups: This bass is equipped with three Lollar Thunderbird passive pickups.

This is a fully passive bass with a simple control layout of master volume, master tone and pickup selectiopm in achinved with three switchcrat slider.

Hardware: The bridge and tuners are Leo Quan Badass units, all finished in NIcle.

Controls:

The master volume knob is a pull/push switch for easy muting.

Body: The mahogany body provides excellent resonance and lightweight performance.

Weight: Fully loaded, this bass weighs a comfortable 8.6 lbs.

Neck Profile: The neck features a 1.5-inch J-style nut width, designed for comfort and speed.  It has a 12 inch radius board.
