We are excited to launch our new 12 Way Rotary Selector, designed for our Thunderhorse series basses. If you want more control and a wider variety of sounds from your bass, this is the upgrade you’ve been waiting for.
Our new selector gives you 12 different pickup configurations, ranging from thick, punchy series tones to bright, clear parallel tones.
It uses high-quality relays to keep your signal clean and clear, and it’s very easy to use:
Save your favorite: Long-press to save your current setting.
Recall instantly: Push the button to jump to your saved favorite, then push it again to go back to what you were playing before.
Failsafe: If the power goes out, the switch automatically defaults to position 1 (All 3 pickups in parallel).

This allows for a massive range of tonal versatility, giving you deep control over pickup configurations that go well beyond standard switching. As far as I know, this is the only switch available that can do this. Although this is designed for my Thunderhorse basses, I will be selling this switch through Fretnation and it should work in most other 3-pickup basses.

Where can I get one?
Hi Cormac! There is another switching system that does roughly this… but it involves 6 small switches, 3 of which are 3 position. I play a reverend triad bass right now, and I installed one of these switches in my bass. The added benefit of THAT switch is that you can put any pickup out of phase. Which sounds cool, but often results in super thin tone with the bass frequencies being cancelled out ( putting the neck and middle out of phase in nearly any combination of series ((I noticed you can counteract the out of phase low end loss with putting at least two of the pickups in series. )) is almost unusable. ) I figured I might share it because I fell in love with my three pickup bass and I saw your instruments and thats the next direction I want to go in. (Unfortunately, Im between jobs and my spouse had a health emergency while I was out of work and now have some medical debt to tackle) and I got SO excited seeing this new switch being added. Your instruments are spectacular looking and I can’t wait to get my own, but I wanted to share the switch system ive been using because I thought might find it interesting.

( I improved it slightly by making the dip switch covers different colors. Pickups are blue, yellow, red ((neck to bridge…. colors getting hotter)) and the series switches I made Green, purple orange to indicate which two colors were combining to make series. )
