OH COFFEE!
This is my favorite one to paint. I am always looking forward to the custom orders that select it.
There is a ritual coffee drinking session while painting that is especially satisfying. I shade the edges with that black reddish tinted glowy good thing that coffee does when light shines through it. The next custom order with this color gets a complimentary McGrath Guitars mug. I need you to share in that simple happy moment.
Coffee is expensive as hell right now. It really feeds my eyeballs to look at paint mingling like milk, meeting up with the gravity of a strong cup, swirling away. I also don't wind up accidentally putting my brushes in my glass (happens so often) when it's a mug instead. We are adding a lot of gold mica and shimmer to the finish so it's extra RICH.
There is an optical illusion to pick up something that looks so earthy and full, only to find it's a comfortably light bass. I just really really like doing this color scheme OK. I appreciate all of the custom orders for it. It's embarrassing how much caffeine I consume on a daily basis to maintain small business pep. It would take down the heart of a hippopotamus.
