Special Collaboration

We're thrilled to announce some exciting news! EMG recently gave us an exclusive opportunity to test their brand-new E5W pickups, and we can't wait to share the details with you.

Here's how EMG describes them:

"The EMG 'E-Series' pickups were designed for modern bass players seeking a full, powerful sound from a pickup in a slim soapbar housing. The 'W' refers to the very wide magnet and coil stacks found in each model. These pickups are unique in having such a large string detection area, and this contributes to a distinctly broad EQ response with hefty low-end and a 'thunderous' attack!"

The "thunderous attack" is a perfect match for our Thunderhorse bass! These are a stacked coil design housed in a Bartolini soapbar-sized enclosure.

Key Features

This instrument is part of the "Rock and Sky" series, created by artist Madelyn McGrath.

The bass features an 18v EMG B30 three-band EQ, with a convenient battery compartment on the back for easy access. The master volume is also a push-pull master mute.

For optimal playability, the string spacing is 18mm as standard, but the bridge can be adjusted from 17mm to 19mm to suit your preference.

The independent on/off switches for each pickup give you complete control over your tone, making it easy to dial in any combination you want—even using all three at the same time for a full, powerful sound.

All our basses are proudly made in San Diego, California, USA.
