This is the very first 5 string J-Style we have made. It is a 32 inch medium scale with active pickups. The medium scale makes this bass so comfortable to play. The controls are simply a volume for each pickup and a master tone.

This Thunderhorse features three active EMG soapbars. At the neck is a 40DC, a wide range humbucker for full bodied lowend and warmth. The middle pickup is a 40P, a P bass sounding pickup right in the sweet spot of punchy mids and growl. The bridge pickup is a 40J, a Jazz bass style pickup for glassy top end and zing.

This finish is called White Sands and is hand painted by Madelyn McGrath. Along with a matching headstock, the ebony fretboard, black pickguard and hardware make for a classy tuxedo style.

The J-Style represents a player first evolution in our range. It features deep, ergonomic contours. Engineered with a perfectly balanced profile designed to eliminate neck dive, the sculpted heel provides effortless access to the higher register, ensuring the full 32 inch scale is always at your fingertips.

The bass shown in these photos is the exact instrument you will receive. We are a two person team based in San Diego, California, and we put our heart and soul into every one off build.
