This is an example of our flagship Thunderhorse, featuring our new 12-way pickup selector and McGrath Tilt EQ.

This beautiful bass is finished in a hand-painted British Racing Green by Madelyn McGrath with our new high-gloss finish. The pickups feature three Nordstrand soapbars, the exact set that had so many calling this the best-sounding bass at NAMM 2026:

The pickups route directly into our proprietary 12-way rotary selector, a feature we are extremely proud of. An accompanying app is currently in development that will allow you to customize your selector options down to as few as 2 positions.

Next is our latest innovation, the McGrath Tilt EQ, a single-pot preamp featuring a tilt EQ and buffer. Turning the center detent knob clockwise delivers beautiful, glassy highs, while turning it counterclockwise yields a rich, powerful low end. You can easily bypass the active preamp using the push-pull function on the Master Volume knob. We have also included a passive tone control for ultimate versatility.

Powered by an 18V active system, the electronics include a built-in failsafe: if you lose battery power during a live set, simply pull the volume knob to bypass the preamp, and the 12-way selector automatically defaults to running all three pickups in parallel passive mode.
